keeping heart rate up

well, since resuming training several months ago, i have reversed my heart disease, yes, i had and still do to some degree have heart disease. my heart is only half the size that it used to be. by keeping my heart rate up to 80% during my exercise period and sometimes higher at close to 100%, my ehart has become extremely strong and it has shrunken to half it's size as compared to when i first started and i am still basically the same weight as well. this has been accomplished through bodyweight squats, jumping jacks, and push ups done in deep breathing fashion. i'm going to add sprints after i get off of this crazy schedule. but, i am a stern believer in deep breathing exercises and keeping your heart rate jacked up to high levels as a way to strengthen your heart and reverse heart disease, as i am a prime example. i also lost several inches from my gut ithout losing any weight, just by doing a lot of compound ab exercises, along with the deep breathing bodyweight exercises as well, all the while not changing my dietary habits. now, that's a testimonial you can believe in!

I don't doubt this. Pick up a copy of Running Scarred by Tex Maule and see what calesthenics and jogging did for him, just prior to, and after a massive heart attack in the mid-1960's.

I can imagine how much good it did him. I went for 30 mins. max and kept my heart rate jacked up the whole time and that has basically cured my heart disease.

Thanks, Jim. My heart is only half the size it was before. It'll be back to normal when I lose some weight. It's half the size now that it was and I'm still around 280. Goes to show what deep breathing and keeping your heart rate at 80% and higher for 30 minutes straight will do for you!
