Oldtime Strongmen/Golden Age of Bodybuilding


Well, any pics and links and about all of the old timers of physical culture, strongman and bodybuilding, let's put it all here. I have some, but will have to wait till Wed./Thurs. when I am off again. I know you guys have tons of stuff.

Wow, I forgot about Chet. He was, and still is, great, and he started the contemporary natural bodybuilding contests with testing. He and Brad Harris are both examples that you can stay in great shape into your 70's and beyond, Jack Lalanne a great example there.

i admire the people that did things the right way and have had the endurance to stick with it. they are still alive while many that went the other route died at a young age. i guess we can all draw the conclusion of which camp was right. Bob, i had forgotten about him also until Mothom brought him back to my memory.

I did a search on him & how he got into training is interesting. He was in a bad car wreck and found some dmbbells in the hospital, or wherever, and asked a doc if they could help with his rehab. They sure did & he built a champion physique. He was natural & looked like a real human being. Real good size & symmetry going there. I would have to include him in a favorites list too.
