Re: RPR's workout log

Egads that workout yesterday has my legs pretty sore today. I've been working my upper body with the DT and expander workouts, but going easy on legs. My shoulders and arms are fine. You really have no idea how many muscle groups are worked by squats until you do what I did and get sore. It's a good workout though and well worth continuing with it.

Getting in and out of bed is no picnic either.

I did some mild walking and stretches for it yesterday and this morning. If needed I'll do an epsom salt soak later today. I haven't been this sore from exercise for some time.

Re: RPR's workout log

After a few days of rest and stretching I was ready to have at the 15x15 workout yesterday. I still did the 3 reps in the 15 sec., concentrating on correct form rather than how many I can crank out. I'm doing the work, so I'm getting the benefits. Proper form is important, period. I may be able to add a rep next week. Today my legs are fine. I'll do my chest expander workout today. It's all upper body. I'll give the legs a rest and do the 15x15 tomorrow.

Thanks Ian. Are chest expanders ( cables ) still as popular in the UK as they were? There seems to be a revival of sorts here with them. I bought my first set when I was in high school many years ago. I know there used to be chest expander contests, sort of like lifting competitions, there in the UK. Are they still going on?

Re: RPR's workout log

A couple of years ago a bought the full set from lifeline u.s.a.

i made great progress with them, using the reg park course after about a year of use the small ones started to snap, almost one each day.

when i tried to order a small amount they didn,t want to know, with the postage and taxes they wanted double the money, so i didn,t bother, way too much money.

a friend of mine wrote a booklet on springs, but only managed to sell 7 in a 3 year period.

i think it,s a bit like the bull worker, kind of a seasonal thing.

all the best ian
