Lifeline's Jungle Gym

I bought one of Lifeline's Jungle Gyms a few weeks ago, and I got in a few workouts with it. It's a suspension device along the lines of a TRX, but doesn't cost as much. I've been following the basic workout right now. It's a 2 circuit routine made up of assisted pull ups ( I haven't done pull ups in over 2 years and I'm glad these are assisted), push ups, dips, and body rows. I'm doing 10 reps each.

At first I wasn't sure how I'd like this, but it is growing on me. The whole idea of suspension training is like the swiss ball, you're in an unstable situation so your stabilizing muscles kick in more, as does the core muscles. You can do a lot of exercises with these, and I'm looking forward to using it more. Right now I'm working on getting to 16 reps.

Re: Lifeline's Jungle Gym

suspension training rocks! it's catching on more and more. i'm gonna start training bodyweight again tomorrow, along with weights, as i'm gonna need the endurance if i can get on at the prison. i'm also gonna start back on the heavy bag as well. i am looking into some suspension devices. i was reading that special ops are using suspension training systems in the training as well, namely navy seals. i'm glad you are doing well with this, rpr. keep us posted on how it keeps going.
