my new diet

Well, I started my no carb diet on Monday, as I want to lose 11 inches from my waist like Gary did. I suffered from loose bowels somewhat yesterday, but that has subsided today, as I am now intaking 1 tablespoon of cayenne powder, instead of 1 teaspoon. I added the extra cayenne to keep me from getting constipated and to keep my digestion in tact due to the lack of fiber. It cleared up my symptoms from yesterday and my digestion is normal again, just as though I was intaking a regular fiber diet. Cayenne is a true miracle compound!

everything is good so far, jim. i'm pretty sure that all will be ok, as i'm including the raw cheese, which is omega 3 because it is grass fed and the salmon, which is omega 3 and good organic butter also and good free range eggs.
i've really thought this out.

Re: my new diet

THE AMOUNT ONE CAN LOSE OFF OF THEIR WAIST LINE IN A MONTH IS BY IN LARGE DICTATED BY HOW MUCH ONE NEEDS TO LOSE. MY LOSS WASN'T THAT IMPRESSIVE WHEN YOU CONSIDER HOW MANY INCHES OVER NORMAL I WAS. I HAD BETTER RESULTS BACK IN 1978 THAN NOW BUT I WAS YOUNGER AND MY SURROUNDING CIRCUMSTANCES WERE BETTER SUITED FOR RESULTS. THE THING IS NOT TO WEAR YOURSELF TOO THIN IN EXERCISE OR DIET OR YOU CAN POSSIBLY DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD. I HAD AN OLD BOOK CALLED "TRAINING FOR ATHLETICS" PUT OUT BY HEALTH AND STRENGTH AROUND 1908. THE BOOK WAS WRITTEN BY ATHLETIC CHAMPIONS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. EACH OF THEM TOLD HOW THEY TRAINED, WHAT THEY ATE, ETC. THE SOCCER PLAYER WROTE THAT EVERY FACET OF TRAINING, DIET, ETC. SHOULD BE DONE IN MODERATION. I BELIEVE HIM TO BE RIGHT ABOUT THIS. GENERALLY, I DID NOT FOLLOW THIS ADVICE AND WAS USUALLY THE WORSE FOR IT. ALL MY BEST,

GARY

Re: my new diet

well, genetics does play a very limited role in that. also, stress plays a very limited role as well, but, i doubt that i could ever lose 11 inches from my waist in a month, unless i went on a water fast. i can see 6, just by knowing how my body works. i feel good with no carbs. i've never done no carbs before. i have done the 30 grams daily many times before. i'm liking it so far. i'm gonna start with the bag work next week. i bought a seabag and four 50lb. bags of sand. i'm gonna start walking with that on my back next week as well. right now, i just work 2 16 hour shifts on saturday and sunday. that allows me to still have some extra money after i pay my bills. i'm gonna stay on weekends only for about 2 more months, just to be able to train all week. i'm gonna keep a daily diary of my progress here. right now, i'm about 275. i'm not worried about my weight, just my bodyfat levels after my 4 weeks is up on no carb.

monitor yourself close chris. in the end an inch or two is of small concern compared to your general health. like the atlas course says, "health and bodybuilding" course. he stressed the health in the title of the course before he did the bodybuilding. my initial results were ok to begin with because of the size of my stomach. from now on the losing of inches will be much slower for me even though the effort will still be their. all my best,

gary

Re: my new diet

Well, I'm coming off of it. I thought that the cayenne had got my stomach back straight again, but I started with loose bowels again today, so I'm gonna add fruits and veggies back to my diet. It's just messed me up too bad. I can't go below 30 carbs for the day, as I always suffer from loose bowels for some reason. I sure am looking forward to that nice fried zucchini patty tomorrow, lol! Thanks for the advice and concerns.

Loose bowels are never as entertaining as some people want to make them out to be! emoticon
