I couldn't see anything they had put up a screen, i asked to look and they said no. So i just chatted to the anesthetist, and found out we had a friend in common, he texted him while we were talking.

I am glad you are mending well. A few years ago I was having a growth removed from my side. It was a deep growth. They started digging into me before they had properly numbed my side.

My nightmare experience was in the recovery room. I was waking up and coughed out the tube they had in my throat for breathing during the operation. It didn't come all the way out and I was gagging on it so I reached up to pull it out. A normal reflex. The people there saw me reach for it and thought I woke up and freaked out over the tube and tried to pull it out. They run over and pin me down. Meanwhile I'm choking on this tube. I relaxed and they let go and as quick as I could I grabbed the tube and pulled it out. Now they freaked out because they thought I was going to choke because I pulled the tube out. I said to them," You A$$ holes, I was choking on that tube!" I wasn't billed for the recovery room.

They went ahead and dug it out. It made me look tough in front of my wife. I wanted to see if I could handle it like the Hockey players do. I found out I was not as tough as the Hockey players.

I took three stitches to a deep cut in a finger once without it being numbed. Surprisingly, I barely felt it. The worst was when I had plantar warts on the soles of my feet. They cut them out without numbing and then they put acid in the cut area. That was brutal, and I hope that never happens again. I would hope there's a better treatment for them today.

My physio said i can start using a cross trainer, yippee! he said to do 5 minutes a day 4 x a week. i thought it would be too easy, today i only managed 25 reps and i was worn out. slowly slowly it is then.
