Re: Jon

If it keeps you motivated that would be a good idea.

Re: Jon

Well, I did 5 minutes of isometrics today with the "Classic". The spring on it is epic. However it is not Steel Bow 28 epic. (I have people who want that Steel Bow 28...)

If I engage in the Dan Pott's system, it will have to be with one of my antiques. I can compress those more, and since the Pott's program calls for sets and reps compressions, I will need a device I can compress.

But, 5 minutes after today's exercies and I have a pretty good "pump" from just the static holds. Now time for a sauage corn dog for breakfast!

Re: Jon

They are disgusting!

Today, I should have rested from yesterday, but I started the first week of Dan Pott's intense Bullworker program.

Two static holds for 8 seconds per exercise. It took eight and a half minutes. On this first cycle I will work up to 5 statice holds per exercise.

The next cycle you start with one set of 10 compressions, and hold the last compression for 5-10 seconds.

I will keep you all posted.!

Re: Jon

Good job Jon. I'm not too confident I could last 8 seconds. That program looks to be very effective.

Re: Jon

I am looking at a new strategy. A) I am starting my own personal "jump rope challenge, B) I am going to start swimming again as soon as possible.

My weight is creeping up, so I believe I need to add a "conditioning" component to my exercises. So, Friday I began jumping rope. Without dignity is the best way to describe my jump rope ability right now. I have used the heavy rope, but this is with my leather rope. I put in 500 skips yesterday, but that also includes rests in between setts of 100. My gola is 1500 skips, and as few rests as possible.

So far today, a Bullworker workout (just one hold per movement).

See you tomorrow.

Skipping the rope 1500 times is a good goal to go for. That, along with the Bullworker and swimming would seem to be a very effective combination. You can implement the Soloflex also if you want to change up occasionally. I admire your efforts Jon.

My efforts are like trying to role a snowball uphill. But thank you for the praise.
