Re: Official training log
speaking of puke, i stepped in some cat puke wednesday and twisted my ankle a bit and also slightly twisted my knee as well. so, i only did about 50 squats wednesday and 10 push ups and 10 v-ups. my ankle was a bit swollena nd hurting and my knee was a little qweesy and it was my right knee, my weak one and my weka right ankle as well, of which i have sprung too many times to remember. i did not do anything friday, as the workout did not feel well wednesday. i will workout here today at work after everybody leaves.

Re: Official training log
Ok, today was the first real workout in 13 days. I did 170 jumper squats in 15 minutes. Then, in 17 more minutes to round out my 32 minute workout, I did 50 assorted pushups, 45 situps, and 45 4 count jumping jacks. I felt like I was gonna puke, so I didn't finish out my other 15 4 count jumping jacks. That told me that I was pushing it to the max, so I backed off and ended my workout. I'll be back to form by Friday. Will go to lift weights here in about another hour or so for my second workout.

Re: Official training log
In the past 2 years Iwas doing a lot of bodyweight ( BW ) and DT workouts. In the Fall and Spring I was doing elastics workout. This year has been elastics 3x a week, light cals 3x a week, Sunday is always a rest day.
I knocked off Winter weight doing a whole body 3 circuit routine over the Summer. Last week I started my Fall workout, which has been muscle/strength building. I'm using the lifeline chest expander and bodylastics, the 2 best companies out there for elastics. Lifelineusa has a wider variety of set ups to choose from, and also Indian clubs, kettle bells, and a serious ab wheel.
I'm following the Reg Park cable course that is on the Sandow site, with some changes. I'm presently doing 2 sets of everything but ab wheels:
Tues.-Thu.- Sat.:
ab wheels 3x12
squats w/ bodylastics 2x10
chest pull w/ chest expander 2x8
back pull down w/ chest expander 2x8
front pull down w/ chest expander 2x8
behind the back press w/ chest expander 2x8
triceps extensions w/ chest expander 2x8
shoulder press w/ chest expander 2x8
archer w/ chest expander 2x8
side lateral w/chest expander 2x8
biceps curls w/ bodylastics 2x8
rev. curls w/ bodylastics 2x8
Mon.- Wed.- Fri.:
light cals I've accumulated from a few sources- The Atlas course, Fitdeck, Macfadden, the 1943 Navy's Blue Jacket's manual.
Perfect Push up drills
Wall squats.
I don't take these exercises to failure ( train, don't strain ), the idea is to keep moving for 20-30 minutes.

Re: Official training log
wow! bob, you and chris make me feel pretty wimpy right now, (probably because i am pretty wimpy right now). i haven't been able to exercise as of late and no serious exercise since well before my brain surgery in march of '08. if my "flawed" brain, arms, shoulders, and hands allow it i will get back to it again shortly. will try and lay out my plans tomorrow. keep well all.

Re: Official training log
I like your workout rpr. That hits your whole body. I never went to lift weights. I seen a mountain bike on the side of the road and I did not want anyone to buy it, so I went to wal mart and the post office, came back home an got my mom's pick up, since I have a blazer and went back and scooped it up. It's an 18 speed, in good shape and I only paid $15 for it. I got a great deal. I brought it home and oiled it up and took it for a little drive. It hurt my balls, so I think I'm gonna have to get a bigger seat for it. Hey, when you're about 280, it ain't easy on the balls sitting on a bike seat . I do like that workout, though, rpr. Gary, you'll be back to doing a 1,000 plus ab reps daily, running marathons again and also doing couple hundred dips daily before you know it. It's just gonna take some time. You'll be bestng everyone here in no time. We gotta get mothom and Jim to posting thier workouts on here also, along with Gary.
