Re: NFL Player Protest

You could qualify your statement by saying pro football isn't necessary. That still leaves college and high school.

BTW, I get the VA health system's newsletters. They produced a new commercial that will be shown during the Army-Navy game, college games and college sports shows. But not anything nfl.

The NFL is past tense with me. I hope they fold along with ESPN.

They are on their way to demise. The morons keep doing things to get people angry at them. There is no way the VA would show ads during a nfl game with idiots disrespecting the country.

It well be a well deserved demise. The league is a horrendous one now. From Roger down to the players they are rotten.

When the major sports media "wonders" if there is a connection between protests and viewership, Awful Announcing usually gets it right.

although viewership was slipping already.

Re: NFL Player Protest

You also had the wife and girlfriend beatings, players getting in bar fights, drug busts, and other things going on. Oh yeah, and Big Ben beating 2 rape cases. The protests were the last straw.

Besides all the bad behavior there is also over saturation. Sunday afternoon games were always an event. Then Monday night comes along. Now it's Sunday afternoon and night. Monday night and Thursday night.

The players are pretty much from single mothers. No father. They grew up idolizing gang members and rappers. They are basically thugs who, if they couldn't play the sport, would probably be dead or in prison.

Just to add more fuel to the fire. Three Dolphins took a knee in the UK during the anthem, but stood for "God Save the Queen". These guys are dumber than rocks.

Re: NFL Player Protest

Monday Night Football had a season low rating this week. A feel good story! Roger simply wants to put this controversy behind them now. I doubt he is going to have much luck with that. The NFL is crashing and burning with more rapidity than I expected.

the original 13 colonies outlawed slavery but george the 3rd rescinded it. it seems the British crown made a lot of money off of slavery back then.
